Author’s Note: This was taken yesterday about 10 minutes from our house. It is a highly unusual sight for us. We have had a cold, wet winter, at least for Mesa Arizona!

  1. My wife remembers, back in the 1980s, people bundling up when the temps dropped into the 60s, there in Mesa – so seeing that must bring thoughts of the Arctic!

  2. Very pretty picture inspired your Haiku very nicely, Linda. Spring came here, in the Houston area, our one and only frost was in the last week of January.

  3. I have friends in Mesa, Phoenix and Scottsdale! Visits there are beyond wonderful, no matter the season! Bend Oregon is in the midst of an epic snow! And, your haiku is lovely.
