Musings on Life, Love, and Linguine-Poetry & Writing
A sign
in eastern sky
early rising spring sun
birth of a new season crowning
on the
horizon, a shimmering light
of rays as beauty bursts
forth with lovely
flowers

Author’s Note: For Colleen’s Weekly poetry challenge, we are given two words and then must use synonyms only of those words. This week’s words are: Origin and Write. Lastly, we are only to write certain forms of poetry with a syllable count. I chose to write a Butterfly Cinquain and used Birth for Origin and Sign for Write. Come join in the fun!

How lovely! Both your words and your cinquain make me ache for spring. Considering the 6 or 7 inches of snow we received… I can’t wait for spring! ❤
