Flowering Dawn
A sign
in eastern sky
early rising spring sun
birth of a new season crowning
on the
horizon, a shimmering light
of rays as beauty bursts
forth with lovely
flowers

Author’s Note: For Colleen’s Weekly poetry challenge, we are given two words and then must use synonyms only of those words. This week’s words are: Origin and Write. Lastly, we are only to write certain forms of poetry with a syllable count. I chose to write a Butterfly Cinquain and used Birth for Origin and Sign for Write. Come join in the fun!
