#Troiku: Breathing Silence

Alone on the beach
gentle waves lapping at toes
footprints in moonlight

only the cries of seagulls
the rush of skittering crabs
as tides ebb and flow

breathing silence
inhaling the fragrant scent
salty grass marshes

It’s Troiku Month at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai: #1688 Troiku Breathing Silence

Here is the haiku we were given to create a Troiku with:

alone on the beach
only the cries of seagulls –
breathing silence
