Wilting

Color bleeding from wilting roses
meeting their early demise
in the blistering bold sun
fading to black and fragile white
scattering their remains in flowery beds
like discarded robes of impassioned lovers

  2. This is lovely … just this morning I discovered my climbing roses had discarded many of their petals overnight. I also discovered new buds ….
