Rainy Days

I long for rainy days when the sky is crying
for the world seems to grow quiet and still
as if listening to the gentle drop’s sighing
when grey clouds sweep across verdant hills

For the world seems to grow quiet and still
So I cherish these rare precious hours
when grey clouds sweep across verdant hills
as heaven sends down fragrant showers

So I cherish these rare precious hours
for the days between rains are long
as heaven sends down fragrant showers
From afar, I hear grey mockingbird’s song

For the days between rains are long
while listening for the gentle drop’s sighing
from afar, I hear grey mockingbird’s song
and I long for rainy days when the sky is crying
