Troiku- Willows

hint of turquoise skies
sheltered beneath the willows
I long for autumn

hint of turquoise skies
above lacy weeping leaves
a cool breeze stirs the air

sheltered beneath the willows
the aroma of damp earth
where I lay my head

longing for autumn
I, October opal child
dressed in shades of fall

Carpe Diem Haku Kai: #1709 Shadow Troiku

From Kristjaan at Carpe Diem: Today I love to challenge you to create a Troiku with a so called “fusion-haiku”, that new haiku created from two given haiku … a crossroads episode this will be. Here are the two haiku to work with:

blue autumn skies
folded into mountains
purple shadow

What gorgeous lines. I love this. And yes, me too — I am so ready for autumn.
