Musings on Life, Love, and Linguine-Poetry & Writing
Every day the bleeding away
Of the nation we once were,
Compromised and pulverized
Analyzed and televised
in full color for all the world to see.
What happened to human kindness?
What happened to love another?
What happened to common decency?
What happened to the right for all to live free?
People killed for religious beliefs
or the different color of their skin,
Innocent children with fertile minds
shot down in front of their friends.
And as we look on in shock at the horror
unfolding before us every single day,
The hate and violence grows ever stronger
fed by a devious malevolent man
sitting in the highest office of the land
whose rhetoric is the epitome
of stochastic terrorism.

The same picture almost everywhere. Mammon worshipers rule the world where there’s no space for peace, truth and love. Sigh.

Yes, so true Sumana. And so very sad.

That first stanza made me think of the news being put in a blender creating some sort of crazy concoction everyone is forced to drink. A mix-mash mayhem of media.

Well said. What is that saying about the people getting the leader they deserve? It’s more shame on the sane ones around him that they stand and do nothing; probably in fear of losing their jobs. I must thank Trump though for inspiring me to write my first-ever blog post!

Haha! I think he ‘inspired’ a lot of us. And continues to today with his horrendous leadership.
