Musings on Life, Love, and Linguine-Poetry & Writing
I’m coming home ~
Yellow ribbons high in a turquoise sky
dancing in the crisp morning breeze
with peach dawn wisps of dreams
It’s been too long ~
since I’ve seen your sweet smile
your grace, your loving eyes
and as I watch the yellow ribbons
dancing in the turquoise sky
I’m coming home
where I belong ~
right by your side
It won’t be long
Coz I’m coming home.

Over at Imaginary Garden with Real Toads, Susie has asked us to pick a song from the videos, listen to it, and write about the colors it brings to mind. I chose Coming Home, by Leon Bridges.
My favorite phrase in this is, “Peach dawn wisps of dreams.”

Linda, I love your theme, “I’m coming home”, and your color sense, ‘yellow’ ribbons and ‘peach’ dawn. Sort of begging of questions when one chooses to come home at dawn. “Don’t tell and I won’t ask.”

peach dawn… yellows and blues are what I saw as well. I can feel the eagerness to get home … I hope the reception is joyfilled.
