Musings on Life, Love, and Linguine-Poetry & Writing
Within these pages lies a secret, a tattered love note tucked away,
the only one he’d ever written one cold brisk autumn day
He wrote of a black coal diamond rough, but with undying patience and love
Someday he would with brilliance, shine for her utter devotion was more than enough
And though she may never see or know the mystery place from whence his words came
She’s watched this man evolve and grow as has her love from a spark to an eternal flame
And in her darkest hours, when all hope and love seems lost
she unfolds the yellowed paper, reads the words from long ago
and once again her faith in their bond is strong and restored.

Awwwww. So beautiful–and touching, Linda. It may have made me a bit teary-eyed.

I would love to find such a note… it would affirm everything ever felt.

So sweet to have those sentiments on paper to return to, remind and absorb again. It’s so true that evolving is a vital part of love…
