He Calls

fantasy-2762571_1920
Stars tremble in lustrous waters

on a radiant moonlit night

capturing the quaking essence

of my soul’s divisive plight.

Come to me my sweetest love

I only feel the call of my name

burying itself deeper within

full of hot passionate flames

Mesmerized by an ethereal voice

singing a haunting love plea

As I fall, there is only cold wind

and the acrid taste of the salty sea.

  1. Linda,

I love this. The picture is so cool! These lines to start: Stars tremble in lustrous waters

    on a radiant moonlit night

    capturing the quaking essence

    of my soul’s divisive plight.

I think capture the emotional back and forth of love that you convey in the rest of the poem so well. Really wonderful… as usual! 😊
