Musings on Life, Love, and Linguine-Poetry & Writing
Nights are warmer as daylight temperatures rise
A perfect time to gaze into an endless sparkling sky
My garden bathed in an ethereal fairy light
There’s magic afoot under stars and moon
Tall spikes of flowers reaching up
To dance with swirling cosmic lights
Twinkling in this blue-black night
Breathing deep, I pause to reflect
How blessed our life is

Those of us with gardens are truly blessed, Linda, especially now. I love the different kinds of lights in this poem: the ‘endless sparkling sky’, ‘ethereal fairy light’, and the ‘swirling cosmic lights / Twinkling in this blue-black night’. Makes me think of van Gogh’s painting.
