Musings on Life, Love, and Linguine-Poetry & Writing
Even as the sun beats down upon the fading flowers
Mornings spent in my garden are the finest hours
Once vivid blossoms fresh and pure
Now wilting, drying, crumbling
Returning once more to their place of birth
For the dance between life and death
Is never more starkly evident
Than from one season to the next
As the youthful face of the garden withers, decays
From brilliant hues of canary, tangerine, rose
To bent gnarled stalks of alien seeds and pods
drifting to the rich earth awaiting the next season
