On The Precipice

And this is where it begins
This defining moment in time
The beginning of the ending
When what you trusted falls away and who you are
Becomes obscured on a moonless night
And who you thought he was is darker still
And you,
Left standing with cold empty arms on the precipice
Of knowing,
Accepting the finality of it, the end of it all
When your heart jumps into the black void of nothingness
And drowns.

  1. This is a dark night indeed:
‘When what you trusted falls away and who you are
Becomes obscured on a moonless night’
Hopefully it leads to the light of a different kind of understanding.
