Perilous Precipice

“Men argue. Nature acts.”

― Voltaire

Leaden grey clouds dot a troubled horizon
whispering ‘we yearn to rain to ease pain’
burdened with atmospheric weight
a vanta black sky turns melancholy

But today is not the day the clouds will finally rain
though harsh rolling thunder shakes the restless air
Our existence is on the edge of a perilous precipice
for we are deaf and blind to our wounded earth’s screams
