Musings on Life, Love, and Linguine-Poetry & Writing
Growing in the shallow crack
between sand and steel and stone
In solitude, a lovely bloom
finding its forever home
Each day, humans trample by
never pausing to look down
yet the little blossom survives
standing firm though all alone.
Then one sunny day, a little girl
spies the bright yellow flower
waits and watches as petals unfurl
until the late evening hours
When the sun dawns early morn
the brilliant blossom is gone
and in its place, ready to be reborn
Are wishes floating in sparkling sun

Such a sweet story you’ve spun about the little flower. I loved it. (sigh)
