Buck Moon

walking along

my shadow beside me

watching the moon- Sodo Yamaguchi (1642-1716)

Dusk falls as I’m dreaming, walking
through my wild verdurous garden along
an unkempt path where lavender grows free, my
feet releasing its heavenly scent while my shadow
ambles along the leaf strewn ground beside
the grey stone wall, it waits in earnest for me
we look up my silhouette and I, watching
tarnished grey rain clouds race across the
painted sky as I look for full buck moon
