Carpe Diem Haiku Kai: #1724 Cornflower

Two bodies, we
You, the hardwood Oak
I, the clinging passion vine
Entwined in the ebony night.
Two bodies, we
You, Mars the god of war
I, Venus the goddess of love
Fiery night sky bleeds with red heat.
Two bodies, we
You, the shaft of flint
I, the shimmering diamond
Black night sparks, catches fire.
Two bodies, we
You, the river flowing to the blue sea
I, tumultuous waves as you spill into me
The night screams with cries of ecstasy.

His voice is smooth; a caramel river of dreams
Melting into her soul, making lonely lips sing,
Filling in the ragged cracks, mending the heart whole.
When his rough hands move, caressing velvet soft skin
Her forgotten body comes alive from his touch again.

fragrant summer breeze
kissing the field of flowers
dancing on the wind
fragrant summer breeze
drifting through the swaying trees
waiting for autumn
kissing the field of flowers
bumblebees gather pollen
on dusty laden feet
dancing on the wind
petals from the golden rose
perfumed confetti

Carpe Diem Haiku Kai: Weekend Meditation #97
Author’s Note: In this crossroads episode, we have been given 2 haiku with which we are to create a ‘fusion’ haiku and then write a troiku with the newly created haiku. Below are the two haiku we are to work with:
windy weather
calling the flowers by name
each nods
depth of a flower
flying away with the bee
some mystery
