Frank J. Tassone #Haikai Challenge #85: rainy season (tsuyu)

Hers was a task of commitment, the last gift he gave her
A beautiful blooming flower as a token of his love
keeping a sacred promise she would go on
living and breathing even though he was gone.
So each day she filled the vessel with raindrops from above
and climbed the stone grey steps to the blue sky looming
hoping to get a glimpse once more of the face she loved
but all that ever greeted her was a fragrant flower blooming.
Over time she grew ancient, weak and grey
with bent back and gleaming hair the color of spun silver
Yet she still made her way up with fresh water to deliver
For she had made a solemn vow and accepted her lonely fate.
At last one day he was waiting, her lover with his smiling face
He took her hand as her aged heart began to race,
and together they walked through heaven’s flowered gate.

Willow Poetry: What Do You See?

Tipping the scales between wrong and right, balancing the weight of words and deeds
Peace and justice are reasons to fight for calm harmony is what I love and breathe
My zodiac sign is the only inanimate object representing my fixation on symmetry
My love of art, beautiful surroundings, a deep penchant for intriguing poetry
At times I can be quite willowy, with visceral thoughts floating in the fresh air
Some days I am fickle and controversial, causing people to think I don’t care.
But in spite of all my idiosyncrasies I know this much is true,
Venus, my ruling planet craves love and nothing else will do.

Carpe Diem Haiku Kai Weekend Meditation #84: Quest for a new masterpiece “Movement” (Unduo)

EXCITING NEWS! My poem After the Cold Winter Rains made the Top 10 list in Writer’s Digest Poetic Form Challenge Catena Rondo. Here is the poem below.
After the cold winter rains
bright wildflowers come out to play
dancing in soft breezes, colorful and gay
after the cold winter rains
Bright wildflowers come out to play
while honeybees buzz from flower to flower
gathering pollen under dewy bowers
Bright wildflowers come out to play
While honey bees buzz from flower to flower
butterflies sip on the sweetest of wine
a heavenly drink fresh from the vine
While honeybees buzz from flower to flower
After the cold winter rains
bright wildflowers come out to play
dancing in soft breezes, colorful and gay
After the cold winter rains
