In fading grey twilight cool and crisp
before night’s orchestra comes alive
there in marshland floats a will -o’- wisp
and swamp creatures run from the ghostly surprise
When night’s melodic orchestra comes alive
great horned owls hunt for skittering prey
swamp creatures run from the ghostly surprise
as gnarled ancient trees howl and sway
Great horned owls hunt for skittering prey
furry brown rabbits seek solace from their plight
as gnarled ancient trees howl and sway
Night roosting birds chatter, take urgent flight
Furry brown rabbits seek solace from their plight
for there in marshland floats a will -o’-wisp
Night roosting birds chatter, take urgent flight
In fading grey twilight cool and crisp

Author’s Note: In folklore, a will-o’-the-wisp, will-o’-wisp or ignis fatuus (Latin for ‘giddy flame’,[1] plural ignes fatui), is an atmospheric ghost light seen by travelers at night, especially over bogs, swamps or marshes. – wikipedia

Let love be the knot of silk that binds
Our two hearts, entwined as one
And not man or beast
Or disease or grief will untie
Delicate threads of hopes and dreams
Where our souls abide, side by side
No matter wind or tides

I have demystified my
Womanly curves
They have lost their edgy sharpness,
Becoming obscured and blurred
By the ravages of time
On this aging goddess body
Where illusions and ego have no place
In these fleeting final hours
And now, nothing more to do
But to embrace
With humility and grace
The pull of gravity’s power

No rushing wind is blowing today
for the crisp clear air is cold and still
as dawn’s diligent sun peeks through
melancholy clouds painted in confederate blue
Birds rejoice from yellow-green budded trees
the only proof that a vibrant spring is near
and in my hungry soul a stirring yearning begins,
barred with lines of grief, a watershed of salted tears
Then the sweetest rush of remembrance comes
and I’m shaken to my aching old bones
my name, whispered on a downhill rolling breeze
‘It’s time now for you to come home’
even though my journey seems it’s only begun

I am not sure when the moment came where I ceased to be. I recall being ill, feeling feverish, and I remember my mother calling my name from far away. At that point I lost touch with reality and blacked out.
Now I find myself unable to communicate with those around me, for they cannot see or hear me. I scream at the top of my lungs to no avail and still nothing. During the times I get frustrated, the lights in the room begin flickering. But, alas, no one makes the connection that it is ME.
I’ve given a lot of thought on why I am in limbo, trapped here in this place and time. I prefer keeping in mind even the possibility that existence has its own reason for being. But if that is the case, does non-existence also have a reason?

Spring dream
fervent new buds
blossoming after rain
riotous colors bursting forth
raindrop
drenched emerald green leaves capture
swirling pools of water
for garden snails
to sip
