Hello All- Bravo to Jilly with a fantastic end to the Somonka I wrote for her Casting Bricks challenge. Fellow Bloggers, you should give it a try- the link is in the reblog. She perfectly captured the emotions with her eloquent words. Thanks Jilly!
Linda Lee Lyberg at Charmed Chaos posted a wonderful August Challenge poem for this month’s Casting Bricks. Her Somonka is in bold, and my completion of it follows. Everyone is welcome to join in with Jilly’s August Challenge in which we write, post and link a half poem for another poet to complete. There is great stretching of our poetic muscles in the process of collaborative writing, and tremendous fun, too. Join us!
Sated, my soul rests
bathed in the essence of us
what now, I ask you
head in your hands
no words fill
the immense chasm between us
Your cool granite skin
can’t mine veins of marble, those
hardened arteries
(vinegar of my regret)
iron bile obsidian

Hello All- I am happy to announce that Linda J. Wolff’s E-book Urban Pen is now available for download. Linda’s poems are thought provoking, honest, and real. The E-book is comprised of not only Linda’s poetry but also three guest poets (one of which is me). My first published poem! Many thanks to Linda for allowing me to share in this wonderful opportunity. Enjoy!
It has been a long road, endless nights, research to achieve this! But it was so worth while, to tell my stories through poetry, and share it through inspiration. To finally see “Urban Pen Vol #1 – Time Pieces” on Amazon
As you all know and read my poetry every day! I want to thank you for your continued support. I am so entirely grateful! If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have the inspiration to continue. I love all of you and your wonderful, supportive comments.
Over the past 6 months, I have been writing and compiling each and every piece of poetry into a manuscript. I have finally completed it! Whew! Thought I would never get to this point! I am offering it in an eBook to download from Amazon…

Now there is a final reason I think that Jesus says, “Love your enemies.” It is this: that love has within it a redemptive power. And there is a power there that eventually transforms individuals. Just keep being friendly to that person. Just keep loving them, and they can’t stand it too long. Oh, they react in many ways in the beginning. They react with guilt feelings, and sometimes they’ll hate you a little more at that transition period, but just keep loving them. And by the power of your love they will break down under the load. That’s love, you see. It is redemptive, and this is why Jesus says love. There’s something about love that builds up and is creative. There is something about hate that tears down and is destructive. So love your enemies. (from “Loving Your Enemies”)”
