Gypsy Rose

Though men have tried to tame her
And others have tried to keep
Her heart locked up in a box
She’ll never abstain
for she will dance nude
in summer rains~
So if you love her,
Remember her name
She, a Wildling Gypsy Rose

#Troiku Hineri- At Dawn

at dawn
I wash my feet with dew
the longest day© Yozakura

at dawn
blush pink sky awakens
to woodpecker’s song

I wash my feet with dew
silken drops on velvet grass
still cold from night air

the longest day
journey of discovery
a path to the heart

at dawn
sun rays peek through clouds
another day begun

blush pink sky awakens
embracing the new day
song of joy escapes my lips

to woodpecker’s song
tap, tap, tap into the tree
searching for breakfast

I wash my feet with dew
cold water on warm feet
a brisk awakening

silken drops on velvet grass
a snail wanders a blade
gliding through the dew

still cold from night air
dew glistens in morning sun
a world within each drop

the longest day
a blossom unfolding
in the sun’s warm rays

journey of discovery
the road less taken
to inner wisdom

a path to the heart
understanding destiny
way of the warrior

Author’s Note: Weekend Challenge at Carpe Diem: This weekend I love to challenge you to create a Troiku Hineri. What does it mean? I will give you a haiku. With that haiku you create a Troiku. Then you have three new haiku. The Hineri (with a twist) is that I love to challenge you to create with those three new haiku NINE new haiku following the Troiku idea, so you have to create three new haiku from every haiku you created from the given haiku.

Sea Glass

“I can write the saddest poem of all tonight. I loved her, and sometimes she loved me too.”

― Pablo Neruda

Here on the sea glass littered sandy shore
Only gulls can hear my anguished cries over the roar
So I burden the sapphire ocean with wrenching sorrows,
Mingling my blinding tears with its briny waters.

I scream at the emptiness your leaving has created,
I mourn for our perfect love now crumbling, eroded
With each harsh bitter word and acrid falling tear
The waves pull me in, take me farther from shore.

And here is where I will remain, forever more.
