Angel’s Trumpet
-Linda Lee Lyberg
With her wings wrapped around
At the world that surrounds her
Where infinite life abounds.
With her yellow trumpets singing,
She calls to the little hummers
Come join me in my garden
It’s full of untold wonders.
There’s the choir of chirping crickets
Singing a glorious Hallelujah
And the frogs jump in on bass
While the beetles play the tuba.
The cicadas keep the rhythm
By rubbing together their wings
As the heavenly angel sings.

Some of them are mine, but this one is my lovely daughter’s. She sent me this and I was inspired to write about it. She is quite good! She also took the photos of the wood thrush in the story ‘Singing Lessons.’ I am proud and in awe of her.
