Musings on Life, Love, and Linguine-Poetry & Writing
-By Linda Lee Lyberg
Sitting on the edge of my life
And watching and waiting
Searching for some little sign
I’m hoping and praying
That he’ll come along
And take me away
My mystery man
I can’t see his face
He’ll fill the space
That’s in my heart
When I think of your face
Oh, oh, hey, hey you went away
Hey, hey, why didn’t you stay?
So, I’m sitting on the edge of my life
I’m watching and waiting
Searching for some little sign
I’m hoping and praying
That he’ll come along
And take me away
The man who’s a stranger
Will know how to play
I know he’ll help me
He’ll teach me to love
And dance like a gypsy
On the wings of a dove
Oh, oh hey, hey the wings of a dove
Hey, hey teach me to love
I’m watching and waiting Ba-by…
I’m hoping and praying Ba-by…
That you’ll come along
While I’m…
Sitting on the edge of my life.

Author’s Note: A bit of fun- I wrote this with the intention of it becoming a song.
Sounds like!
