Behold! Spring flowers
burst forth in splendid firestorm
Flames seeking sun’s warmth.

My response to Carpe Diem #1298 Fire of Spring
This month we are exploring The Rubaiyat by Omar Khayyam and Chèvrefeuille has skipped to quatrain 7. This episode is titled ‘Fire of Spring’, a quotation from this quatrain:
Come, fill the Cup, and in the Fire of Spring
The Winter Garment of Repentance fling:
The Bird of Time has but a little way
To fly – and Lo! the Bird is on the Wing.
