Musings on Life, Love, and Linguine-Poetry & Writing

-By Linda Lee Lyberg
As I wander the cloistered woods, the plunk, plunk, plunk of acorns landing in rotting leaves breaks the unearthly silence. The circle of life surrounds me, from leathery seed struggling to sprout to towering live oaks. I am humbled in their presence. I pause in wonder, appreciating the music of creation. And then, this thought: Is man but a tiny seed from a powerful tree?
Man’s fate, acorn’s life
cracked kernel to mighty oak
Fate and death explained

My response to Carpe Diem #1304 The Seventh Gate
Up from Earth’s Centre through the seventh Gate
I rose, and on the Throne of Saturn sate,
And many Knots unravel’d by the Road;
But not the Knot of Human Death and Fate.
