Be like the mighty tree, steadfast with deep roots
entrenched in Mother Earth
Seasons come, bringing their own
unique tribulations and bitter strife,
much like the lost people in your own life.
Through storms, and bitter winds
assaulting them with all their power
in and out of their trembling limbs,
Trees prevail and seldom cower.
Trees bend, and bow and may lose
parts of themselves to the elements they face
yet their staunch inner core remains
and thus they maintain with grace.
Through drought with parched land surrounding,
their sprawling roots go deeper and deeper
to seek the nourishment they need
to survive and stay alive.
