Flower Moon

When the willows weep at night
they call to the flower moon
Come and spread your light
through our slender tendrils
as beetles scurry underfoot
banish the deepening gloom.
Place a kiss upon the mushrooms
growing in the darkest shadows
Touch the tender verdant moss
that blankets our twisted roots
beckon to moonflower’s bloom.
Scatter your light on secret lovers
nestled under our dangling limbs
fill their faces with illumined light
under their tree sheltered cover.
Bathe their bodies with an ethereal glow
as their impassioned excitement grows
feed their souls with your beautiful song
while they fulfill desires from dusk to dawn.
