Symphony

If I gathered each dewdrop glistening on the rose
put them to music and with my pen compose
a symphony of our souls, a song that holds the key
would you stay forever and listen to the notes
as we solve the mystery of how we came to be?
Would you take my hand, trace the lines on my palm
compare it to your own and reflect on what they mean?
And would you then my darling, understand our love
veiled within this enigma, so rich and bold and true
for all my precious buried memories lead me to you.
