Musings on Life, Love, and Linguine-Poetry & Writing

Winter’s peaceful reflection a slowing of the seasons,
when time pauses in the frigid cold
while we ponder where the year has gone
contemplating our life with introspection
having no regrets so much for things we’ve done
But rather what we have not dared to endeavor.
And it’s in these moments we realize that life is but a game
a toss of the ivory dice, a thrilling gamble we brave to play
if we heed those tempting calls, answer with a resounding yes
with certainty thus, when we give our all
Will our life then be forever blessed?

OMG. You made me LOL at this response. I know you meant it in a sweet way, but once you read this you will understand why I am laughing. Something I wrote last August. https://charmedchaos.com/2017/08/10/43-cats/

Okay. I loved this connection you made
Linda, you are special to me. I try as much as I can to not miss your posts. I arrive late, but I try to read as many as I can. So the dear, was a term of endearment and said in a very sweet and affectionate way.
Oh, you made me laugh. But seriously, a girl I am hoping to get to know, I would never use Dear. I have other tricks up my sleeve. (Which makes it hard in the summer when I am wearng a tank top).

You are special to me too, truly. And I know you would never use a line like that; I’ve read your poetry. Smiling.
