Haibun: Blue Buddha

My wildflowers, Mesa AZ.

It’s an overcast cool spring morning. The sun peeks through holes in the clouds, trying to force its way into the sky. In the garden, wildflower seeds are establishing their place. I sit on my ancient bench and listen to the bees. They are going about their day, gathering pollen from the Indian Blanket flowers.
