Flowering Mindscape- J. Hurlbert

Here in this blossoming space,
I’ve created my own mindscape
where flowers forever bloom and never die
plump honeybees suckle on nature’s essence
white butterflies flutter to spring’s symphony
while emerald trees sparkle against a turquoise sky.

A swift babbling brook plays nature’s music
trickling over Calliope’s stones of songs
worn smooth by the lilting voice of cool rain
traveling far from home, always moving on
bringing essence of life wherever it flows
promising sublime relief to replace all pain.

  1. We chose the same image, smiles. I specially love the garden : where flowers forever bloom and never die. Play on that spring symphony.

  2. i love the idea of the forces of nature exerting influence but always moving on, and how you have found that gentle eddy in which to feel calm within it.

  3. The words are as calming and meditative as a trickling water fountain – and I adore the painting. Flipped over to her sight and she is a fun artist.

  5. My mind has become adept at creating some gorgeous inner-spaces as well. They’re very helpful to have around when we really need to find comfort in a bit of beauty on a hectic day.
