#Troiku- Ancient Cypress

ancient cypress
gnarled and bent from ocean’s wind
roots buried down deep

leaning over the light
chasing warm sun-rays of joy
ancient sentinel

at sunrise
green shadows in golden glow
lone hawk soars above
