Musings on Life, Love, and Linguine-Poetry & Writing
Rolling thunder and pounding rain
greets the ominous grayscale dawn
dark skies threatening, unburdening
heavy clouds of their watery weight.
And between the rushing torrents,
trees hang low from the strain
of dripping diamonds glistening
in stark rays of a shy peeking sun.
But once more the downpour comes
washing the gritty layers of dust away,
bidding goodbye to brutal summer
and a joyful hello to glorious autumn
as the arid desert comes alive, revived
again by the nourishing pouring rain.

Perfect… Reminds me of our days in the Mojave and of California. Poppy fields and canyon roads aglow! Lovely, Linda.
