Wild Things

Here among the wildflowers I sit and ponder life
Listening to the buzzing bees as the world goes by

In this place there is no disease, only sacred peace
Where nature and its creatures are at playful ease

Lizards leap from stone to stone chasing gnats in the air
Butterflies sip sweet nectar without any pressing care

So I and my little dog bask in the warm spring sun
Lifted up by healing light until sundown colors come

Then we will wander in from this garden of quiet peace
Lay our heads upon the pillow and dream of wild things

  1. I love this. You have such a peaceful space to sit in. It must bring balm to your soul. It is in nature where I find my peace too. I especially love that, at night, you dream of wild things. Those are always my best dreams. Occasionally, wolves come. Smiles.
