As light spills upon white paper
We contemplate life’s fickle fate
Caught up in this capricious state
Pawns in play for our creator.
Though there’s no point to belabor
What riddled perils day may bring
To our past we should never cling
For mystery awaits in haste
With few precious moments to waste
So welcome whatever it brings.
