Raven and Moon

“Yours is the light by which my spirit’s born: – you are my sun, my moon, and all my stars.”

― E.E. Cummings

Black raven whispered to waning moon
I miss your face when you’re gone
I spend darkest nights longing
for you to paint blue cobalt night
with your luminous pearl sheen light~
Watching star crossed lovers kiss and swoon
while packs of grey wolves howl and croon
joyous from your magical return
and soon mother earth is whole again

  2. I love your take on the prompt – the raven crooning to the moon. Very cool. I am enjoying watching Jackson on facebook. Such a happy boy.

  3. “…whispered to waning moon
I miss your face when you’re gone
    I spend darkest nights….”

An indictment of the inconstant moon. And that from a raven! Nevermore… until again.
