Creation-
peace as the canvas
on which to
paint a fresh
new beginning of hope and
joy for all mankind
Devour the
lush watercolors
a landscape
a landslide
of unconditional love
flooding the planet
Bright rainbows
love is love is love
for others
for brothers
for sisters in all colors
melting pot of LOVE.

Colleen’s Weekly Poetry Challenge #131

Lizzie has walked by this gallery forever and it has never been open, but today it is.
‘Must be my lucky day.’ The moment she walks through the door, her hair rises on her neck. The atmosphere changes; the air damper, cooler and misty.
“Hello, anyone here?”
A voice answers, “Be with you in a minute. Take a look around.”
The lighting is in various shades of green which gives the room an ethereal quality. Shadows dance on the shiny concrete floor. The room narrows, and draws her to a solitary painting, which encompasses an entire wall. She’s in a spell; as if she has entered another time, another dimension.
Lizzie is shaken to her core when far away an interrupted cry echoes in the empty room. She turns around, realizes the cry is hers. She is now a prisoner, trapped forever.

sea cliffs beckoning
tempting with fragrant flowers
rainbow clouds drifting
sea cliffs beckoning
following winding shoreline
waves crash against rock
resplendent fragrant flowers
lush greens and scented blooms
a walk in heaven
rainbow clouds drifting
sheaves of sunlight peeking through
God’s painted canvas

Author’s Note: For the weekend meditation, we have been given two haiku with which to create a ‘fusion’ haiku. We are then to create a Troiku from the fusion haiku. Below are the two haiku:
coming to sea cliffs
the off-shore breeze raises
a flower fragrance
curving with the land
a rainbow of clouds
moves out to sea

Frank J. Tassone #Hakai Challenge: Fragrant breeze

The aroma of pine
wafting on morning air
the scent of fresh hope
And the young morning’s fresh rain
like stars from heaven
glistening on every bough
reach my words
inspired by nature’s beauty
poet’s humble gift

My Troiku for Carpe Diem Haiku Kai #1676 Troiku The Aroma of Pine was inspired from the haiku below.

I offer you in darkest of days a sweet tender release
guiding you through the murky haze to a tender release
When the golden orb shines with its brilliant rays
in summer’s dog days, we pray for tender release
And should I utter gentle words of praise, do they
Set your soul ablaze, yearning for tender release?
When we sleep to the lulling song of lapping waves
does the ocean’s pull amaze, and offer a tender release?
If the blue moon and whispering stars capture your gaze,
do you think of my beautiful face, recall our tender release?
