Musings on Life, Love, and Linguine-Poetry & Writing
A creamy moon rises in a periwinkle sky
Bidding a fond farewell to mulberry spring
While diamond flecked stars shoot from the sky
Flying foxes and night hawks take swift wing
Bidding a fond farewell to mulberry spring
As summer warmth threatens a chilly breeze
Flying foxes and night hawks take swift wing
For this rarest of cool evenings is to be seized
As summer warmth threatens a chilly breeze
Golden fireflies dance in the damp dark meadow
So this rarest of cool evenings is to be seized
For too soon parched winds of summer will blow
Golden fireflies dance in the damp dark meadow
While diamond flecked stars shoot from the sky
For too soon parched winds of summer will blow
As a creamy moon rises in a periwinkle sky

I would love a warm dark night with fireflies, but here in Sweden summer is so different.
